Playing in the Snow

What a snow storm to celebrate your first time playing in the snow! Hope Jack doesn't expect 2 feet every winter! As you can see, he wasn't thrilled about his snow suit - it's was very "I can't put my arms down" - A Christmas Story
But, once we got outside, Jack loved it!

The Big One

The big snow storm last week - I think the photos tell it all. We got over 2 1/2 feet by the time it was all over.

A Visit To Santa

A couple weeks before Christmas, Matt and I took Jack to visit Santa at Homestead Gardens. It's a great place to visit Santa. Unlike the mall, there is no professional photographer, so you can take as many photos as you want, you aren't rushed, and you don't have to pay an arm and a leg to get that cherished photo with Santa! Oh yeah, and the line isn't very long!!!

Jack was a very big boy and didn't cry at all when he sat with Santa. He was most interested in Santa's beard and the fur on his coat. He wouldn't even look at the camera, just at Santa the whole time! It was too cute!

Thanksgiving 2009

We were lucky enough to host my parents for Thanksgiving at our house this year. We had a delicious meal - I made some and my mom made some. Of course, Jack was the center of attention all night. Here is a photo I snapped of everyone else taking photos of Jack during dinner!
Bailey took up his usual spot during big meals - under the table to catch any scraps that might come his way.

Jack played with some toys during our dinner - he ate a bit earlier!

Two of my favorite butts! Matt is getting Jack's bath ready after a tiring day!

Two pie choices for dessert. Pumpkin and Pecan! My mom made both of these beautiful pies. Almost too pretty to eat...almost!

Just A Walk In The Park

Well, it has been a while since I updated, so I am going to go back a month and a half and give you the full story.

After our incredible trip to the Today Show, we walked back to the hotel so that Jack could take a nap and Matt could leave for the Merchant Marine Academy. After Jack's nap, we set out on the town to browse the amazing Christmas decorations in Rockefeller Center, the shop windows all along 5th Ave, and of course, a quick pop into FAO Schwartz. And, no trip to NYC would be complete without a walk in Central Park. Jack and I hit it mid afternoon when all the mommies and nannies were strolling with their babies - so we made lots of new friends. After FAO Schwartz, we grabbed a hot dog and pretzel from a street vendor and found a comfy bench. Jack really enjoyed his first taste of NYC hot pretzel.
Our bench was in the perfect place, right past the zoo, under the bridge, and by the magician. I love that magician! Jack managed to take a break from his pretzel and new friends to pose by one of the big rocks in the park.
After our jaunt in the park, we walked a few blocks to Dillan's Candy Bar - a super famous candy shop in the city (always on the morning programs), and got a sweet treat before we headed back to the hotel to play until Daddy got home.

That night we had a delicious dinner with my grandparents (Jack's great grandparents) at a restaurant called Maria's. My grandparents have been eating at Maria's for years, know Maria personally, and we make a point to eat there every time we go to NYC!
